The Higher Nationals in Aeronautical Engineering offer a stimulating and challenging programme of study that you will find both engaging and memorable. They aim to provide you with the core knowledge, skills and techniques that all engineers require, irrespective of future specialism, to achieve high performance in the engineering profession.

Pathways within this qualification

Brochure download button This qualification has been developed in collaboration with industry experts, universities, colleges and students to ensure that it is a programme that will meet the needs of industry, as well as what you would expect to achieve throughout your course.  To help you develop in your chosen specialism, there are a number of pathways, some of which are listed below:

  • Aircraft Aerodynamics
  • Aircraft flight
  • Control Systems

Please note this is a combination of pathways at both BTEC HNC and HND level. Colleges we work with may choose to deliver a selection of pathways, which is why we suggest that you consult with your local college regarding exact options available to you.

We also have BTEC Higher National Qualifications in Engineering or Nuclear Engineering.

We currently have agreements to top-up HNs to over 1200 degrees worldwide and we continue our work to grow this number.
