Nuclear Engineering graduates are highly sought after by employers across the globe.  In the UK, with a predicted increase of new nuclear reactors being built, there will be an increasing the demand for suitably qualified nuclear engineering graduates, in jobs as diverse as radiation protection, construction, safety case production, chemical engineering, plant operation, reactor design and materials performance.

This qualification has been developed in collaboration with industry experts, universities, colleges and students to ensure that it is a programme that meets the needs of industry, as well as what you would expect to achieve throughout your course. To help our you develop in your chosen specialism, there are a number of pathways, some of which are listed below:

  • Nuclear Engineering (Electrical and Electronic)
  • Nuclear Engineering (Mechanical)

Please note this is a combination of pathways at both BTEC HNC and HND level. Colleges we work with may choose to deliver a selection of pathways which is why we suggest that you consult with your local college regarding exact options available to you.

We also have BTEC Higher National Qualifications in Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering.
